Job description: The LGBTQQ Intergenerational Storytelling Project brings together LGBTQQ youth and elders to share stories, build community, develop skills and create audio to air on radio stations and online. Youth participants are paid for 4-8 hours per week, and learn about LGBTQ history, activism and organizing, researching, interviewing, editing and writing, working in a group with the elders. In addition to being a wonderful experience, this is a job: interns are responsible for coming to all sessions on time and contributing actively to the group's work. Sessions are every Saturday afternoon for 4 hours and take place near the Balboa Park BART Station.
There will likely be many people applying for this internship, so please provide thoughtful, well-written answers to the questions below. Thank you!
