Awesome Volunteers Make outLoud Pride a Huge Success

OutLoud participated in the San Francisco LGBT Pride festival for the first time this year as an official Community Partner. Everyone involved with OutLoud gave their support, and we had more than thirty volunteers. It was great, especially when the two outLoud Volunteer Supervisors, Thao and Diego, had the megaphone. There was a great feeling of power in being a supervisor and holding a megaphone. It wasn't all fun though, I had to make sure everyone did what they were supposed to do, made sure all the forms were signed, called up friends to know for sure they were coming, and scream to people without the power of the mighty megaphone. The two days we volunteered were fun, hot, and rewarding. We earned over $4000 from the whole thing! Thank you to everyone who came and volunteered.
