Meet outLoud's New Assistant Director, Philipe!

Although there was much sadness (and pie) surrounding the departure of Julianna Sassaman, who was the project’s Assistant Director for two great years and outLoud's first not-Noah employee, we also got to bring someone new into the outLoud family to replace her. I even got to be involved in the hiring process, turning the tables on the typical teenage position of begging for entry-level service work. Along with Noah and Julianna, I comprised part of the outLoud interviewing panel for the final group of applicants. Being on the other side of an interview at only 18 was quite cool, and should be helpful for interviewing in the future.

Out of a very talented and qualified bunch, we picked Philipe Lonestar. Philipe, who's currently also going to school to become an art psychologist and has worked extensively in social justice activism and youth filmmaking, was instrumental in the success of outLoud's trip to Third Coast, and will be an essential part of outLoud continuing to thrive and grow.
